I counted the envelope opening. Six seconds. I've told her that. She said, "Nisha, I don't need the number," which is the first time in her life Priya Menon has not needed a number, so I'm logging it as a medical event.

Here's what nobody else saw. When Mr Deng said "412," Priya didn't look at Mr Deng. She looked at Rafe Oduya, standing there with his arm in a sling made partly of her jumper, and he mouthed, "Open the box," and she nodded. And that's when I knew, Diary. Not from the campaign. Not from the drain cover. From the nod.

Priya's never nodded at anyone. She confirms. There's a difference.

I need to explain the pink tab, since it's going to come up. Priya's planner has colours. Green is academic, blue is committee, red was THE CAMPAIGN. Pink is "social." Pink has been empty since Year 7. Pink has never had a single entry. And last Thursday she wrapped a boy's wrist in a jumper from the pink tab section of her bag, and now she's giving him a title and a form.

She went red. Priya does not go red. I've put that down as a second medical event.

THURSDAY WEEK, 9:00 p.m. (my room, the group chat is on fire)

Group chat, since results. For the record.
